Samsung hosting Bada developer days in Australia

Brisbane and Sydney Bada events to be held in August

Samsung Australia will host two Australian developer days in August for its new Bada mobile operating system, the company announced last week.

Set to be held in Brisbane on 2 August and Sydney on 4 August, the events will be are an opportunity for Australian developers to learn about the company's Bada platform for smartphones. There will be live demos as well as the opportunity to speak to Samsung's Bada development team.

The Bada OS made its debut on the Samsung Wave smartphone, which was launched in Australia last month.

The Sydney Samsung Bada developer day will be held at the Maritime Museum, while the Brisbane event will take place at the Hilton Hotel.

Samsung is also inviting attendees to take part in the Bada development challenge, with up to US$300,000 on offer for the winner. Entry, along with the Bada SDK, is free.

Both events are also free to attend, but require preregistration.
