How to find free Wi-Fi Internet access in Australia

Use Google Maps to find free Internet access in Sydney, Canberra, Byron Bay, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Adelaide, Melbourne and more

Although the price of mobile broadband in Australia is coming down rapidly, it's still not affordable for everyone. And what about if you have a prepaid wireless broadband account and haven't topped it up yet? An easy solution for those of you in Sydney is the Wi-Fi hot spot Google Map below that displays paid and free Wi-Fi hotspots. Know a hot spot that's been missed? Just add it to the map. The map is the product of the Wifi-in-australia.com project; kudos to them for creating such a useful resource. The site also offers free Wi-Fi maps for Canberra, Byron Bay, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Adelaide, Melbourne and more.
