Trademark hints at Syndicate reboot

Over two years after the confirmation that Swedish developer Starbreeze Studios (Chronicles of Riddick, The Darkness) were working on a reboot of a "major" Electronic Arts franchise, and the powerhouse publisher has filed three new trademarks that share the name of Bullfrog's classic real-time tactics series.
As spotted over at trademark-savvy site Superannuation, one of the trademarks cites "computer game software; downloadable computer game software via a global computer network and wireless devices; video game software", where another refers to "entertainment services, namely, providing an online computer game; provision of information relating to electronic computer games provided via the Internet." But what exactly does it all mean?.
Back in April, Starbreeze was caught filing the name "Syndicate" in three trademarks, with Electronic Arts popping up in at least one of said trademarks. Many gamers had already assumed that the mysterious Starbreeze-developed and EA-published "Project RedLime" was a reboot of Bullfrog's Syndicate series, but following the news that EA had canceled one of Starbreeze's two new projects, many became skeptical to the title's fate. The canceled title in question turned out to be a new Jason Bourne game, but sans the trademark filings in April, we haven't heard a peep about the prospective reboot.
The last entry in the Syndicate series was 1996's Syndicate Wars for the PC and PlayStation, and "Project RedLime" is rumored to be in development for the PC, 360, and PS3. Following April's announcement that classic tactical turn-based title XCOM would be returning, but now as a first-person shooter, there's also the prospect that Syndicate might return, but not as we once remembered it. What would you guys like to see in a Syndicate reboot? More of the classic real-time tactics of the original, or a bold new series direction?

I'd like to see an updated version of Syndicate Wars on the 360. The graphics and music and atmosphere gave it a high replay value. I hope whoever wrote the music for the last game comes back for this one.
