Beyond Good & Evil's Jade will soon be re-skinned in HD

Ubisoft announced Thursday that it's bringing back one of the treasured titles from its back catalog with Beyond Good & Evil HD for the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. An Ubisoft spokesperson confirms it's not coming out for the PC.

Beyond Good & Evil HD, planned for a 2011 release, includes Achievements and Trophies. Ubisoft is also touting a remastered score.

The game originally came out in 2003 for the PlayStation 2, GameCube, and PC, with Metacritic scores in the 80s for its various versions. Beyond Good & Evil's significance in gaming history lies in how it tweaks the action-adventure formula of games such as The Legend of Zelda. It follows the story of Jade, an investigative reporter who sets out to uncover a government conspiracy. For more on Beyond Good & Evil, read GamePro's review of the original 2003 release.
