HTC 7 Trophy smartphone (preview)

The HTC 7 Trophy is one of two HTC Windows Phone 7 smartphones to be available on launch day, offering a 3.8in SLCD display and a 5-megapixel camera.

Available exclusively through Vodafone in Australia, the HTC 7 Trophy is a Windows Phone 7 smartphone that offers a 3.8in SLCD display and a 5-megapixel camera that doubles as a HD video recorder.

The HTC 7 Trophy doesn't share the same unibody design as the otherwise very similar HTC 7 Mozart, or the HTC Desire HD, but it has a slightly larger display — 3.8in compared with the HTC 7 Mozart's 3.7in screen. Like all HTC phones that run the Windows Phone 7 operating system, the 7 Trophy comes with HTC Hub, a portal that provides access to a number of apps including weather, a photo enhancer, a sound enhancer, notes and stocks.

The HTC 7 Trophy is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and has 8GB of internal memory and 576MB of RAM. It weighs 140g. Like all Windows Phone 7 devices, it lacks external storage, so there is no microSD card slot for extra memory. It has a standard LED camera flash.

The HTC 7 Trophy also has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, a G-sensor (gyroscope), an ambient light sensor and built-in GPS. It will be available exclusively through Vodafone in Australia from 21 October. Pricing is yet to be announced.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

A smarter way to print for busy small business owners, combining speedy printing with scanning and copying, making it easier to produce high quality documents and images at a touch of a button.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.

Windows 10 / HP Spectre x360

Ultimately, I think the Windows 10 environment is excellent for me as it caters for so many different uses. The inclusion of the Xbox app is also great for when you need some downtime too!

Windows 10 / Lenovo Yoga 910

For me, the Xbox Play Anywhere is a great new feature as it allows you to play your current Xbox games with higher resolutions and better graphics without forking out extra cash for another copy. Although available titles are still scarce, but I’m sure it will grow in time.
