Taiwanese chip designer Via Technologies Inc. Wednesday rolled out the latest addition to its C3 processor family, unveiling a 933MHz version of the chip.
Via's low-power 933MHz C3 processor has 192K bytes of on-chip cache and includes support for a 100/133MHz front side bus. The chip is the third C3 to be produced using Via's 0.13-micron Ezra processor core. The 933MHz C3 is designed for use in low-end desktop PCs, notebooks, high-density servers, and information appliances.
The Ezra-based C3 is also available in 866MHz and 800MHz flavors. The 933MHz C3 is currently in volume production. Pricing was not disclosed.
