Primus Telecom has launched a hotline for customers affected by flooding in Queensland. The service will let customers divert their landline number, request restoration of phone or Internet services and apply for their bills to be waived during the period they are affected by the flood. Customers can also request suspension of Primus and iPrimus services.

"While thousands of people are directly impacted, the true extent of these floods extends much further to families, friends, colleagues trying to stay in touch with people in the area, and those just trying to go about their daily business", Primus CEO Ravi Bhatia said.

"While the immediate focus is on keeping people safe, and ensuring essential supplies get where they are needed, we want our customers to know that we are thinking of them and will do whatever we can to support their recovery."

The freecall number for Primus customers is 1800 55 98 96.
