An employee of the Reuters news agency has reportedly spotted an early version of the highly anticipated successor to the original iPad.

The 'iPad 2' was seen at the launch of News Corp's new newspaper for the iPad, The Daily. According to Reuters, the next-gen iPad prototype featured a front-facing camera at the top edge of the glass screen; the iPad 2 is expected to also ship with a rear camera.

News' Daily has been specifically developed for the iPad.

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
