Batman: Arkham City comic book mini-series coming to iPad and online

The upcoming Batman: Arkham City video game will be accompanied by a comic book mini-series that will be available on the Apple iPad as well as online.

The comic book series, which covers the period between the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum and the new game, is written by Paul Dini, who wrote the storyline for both games and Batman: The Animated Series. The books will be drawn by the games' concept artist Carlos D'anda.

Available through both ComiXology and the official DC Comics app for the Apple iPad, as well as online, the six-part comic series will be available digitally worldwide for US$2.99 with eight-page interludes also available for US$0.99. All parts of the miniseries will be later be collated and printed for the Batman: Arkham City collector's edition.

The first issue of the Batman: Arkham City comic book miniseries will be released in May, with issue #2 out the same month.
