Angry Birds coming to Windows Phone 7

Rovio is also working on 3D version of popular game

Windows Phone 7 users looks set to be able to enjoy Angry Birds on their handsets after the game's developer Rovio confirmed it was planning a version for Microsoft's mobile platform

Peter Vesterbacka from the developer told Pocket-lint: "We're working on it".

The mobile phone, which has gained huge popularity among iPhone and Android users, involves simple physics coupled sheer luck and requires players to transport ticked-off birds to a pig fortress via a slingshot in a bid to retrieve stolen eggs.

Vesterbacka also revealed the developer is working on a 3D version of Angry Birds.

"We've built a lot of 3D games before, it's not like it's a lot of learning in order to recreate the technology with Angry Birds,"he said.

However, he would not reveal when the game would be made available and what platforms it would be available on.
