Sonos releases Android controller app for ZonePlayer media streamers

Sonos Android app now free on Android Marketplace

Sonos has released an Android application that allows Android smartphone users to control their Sonos wireless music systems via Wi-Fi. The Android app joins the official Sonos controller, Mac/PC application and iPhone/iPad apps already available.

The Android app controls all the functions of Sonos's ZonePlayer wireless music systems including accessing shared iTunes libraries and browsing Internet radio stations, and also supports the Anubis.fm subscription-based music streaming service.

The Sonos Controller app for Android smartphones can now be downloaded from the Android Marketplace.
