Chrono Trigger rated by ESRB

Virtual Console remake of Chrono Trigger will be coming soon

Fans of Square's Super NES RPGs have been patiently waiting for news of a Virtual Console re-release of Chrono Trigger for some time. Could the wait be over?

A rating for a Wii version of Chrono Trigger has appeared on the ESRB's website. Since the game has previously been announced for distribution via Virtual Console in Japan and Europe, it's fair to assume this means a North American version of the Super NES classic is coming soon to the Wii Shop Channel.

The rating for the Wii version carries an E10+ rating, the same as the Nintendo DS edition. It carries a single content descriptor -- "Mild Fantasy Violence" like the Super NES original -- as opposed to the DS version's "Animated Blood, Mild Fantasy Violence, Suggestive Themes, Use of Alcohol."

Joystiq recently reported that there was also a PSP and PS3 listing for the game, suggesting a PSN re-release (probably as a PSone Classic) but this seems to have disappeared from the ESRB site at this time.

There are mild, non-specific spoilers in the ESRB description, so don't read it if you've never played Chrono Trigger and were planning to. And if you weren't planning to? You really should.

LIFEBOOK UH574

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

STYLISTIC Q702

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
