The mighty Sea Eagles find sponsorship dollars after a long search, signing Kaspersky Lab for the remainder of 2011 and 2012.

Kaspersky Lab today announced that it has signed on as the new major sponsor for the Manly Sea Eagles rugby league football team. The move comes mid-way through a season in which the club is seated second on the NRL ladder and has a chance of finishing in the top four and going deep into the finals.

The sponsorship deal has been negotiated for the remainder of the 2011 season and for the entire 2012 season, with an option to continue long term. In a press release today, Sea Eagles chairman Scott Penn said the deal was "a massive salute to the game and the iconic Sea Eagles brand". He said that the deal broke new ground for the NRL because Kaspersky Lab is "such an international group" and it would help assist Kaspersky Lab's brand recognition in Australia.

Likewise, chief operating office David Perry said the patience shown by the owners and board in finding a sponsor has reaped the benefits of finding an international company that will hopefully take the NRL to "new borders".

The Kaspersky Lab logo will be prominent on the front of the Sea Eagles' jerseys — punters will have their first chance to see the new outfit this Sunday at Brookvale Oval when the Sea Eagles take on the South Sydney Rabbitohs. For those unable to attend the game, it will be televised on Channel 9 (4pm Sydney time).

LIFEBOOK UH574

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

STYLISTIC Q702

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
