HP TouchPad accessories on discount

Some stores are offering discount accessories for the fast-vanishing HP TouchPad

For those who got their hands on the US$99 HP TouchPad tablet, a few complementary accessories are also available on the cheap. There are TouchPad sleeves priced from under $10 to $30, and discounted screen protectors under $5. But like the TouchPad, many accessories are also running out of stock in stores like Wal-Mart and Office Depot, so grab them before they completely vanish.

Sleeves and cases

HP is selling the TouchPad case for $29.99 on its website, but the accessory is also available for $19 from Wal-Mart and for $19.99 from Office Depot -- only in-store, so call to ensure availability. Best Buy is selling the case online for $24.99.

CaseCrown is selling cheap sleeves for the TouchPad on Amazon.com starting at $7, although there is a $5 shipping charge. A black CaseCrown suede sleeve/case with a zip is priced at $7.21, and it has an external pocket to store additional accessories. A grey CaseCrown neoprene case is priced at $6.22 and can also be used for Apple's iPad, which has a similar screen size to the TouchPad. A black hard cover from Gizmo Dorks is also on sale for $7.98, with $2.98 shipping.

If you prefer a leather case, Fosmon is selling its Leather Folio Case with a stand for the TouchPad through Amazon.com for $14, with $2.98 in shipping.

HP Power Charger

A power adapter for the TouchPad is available in-store for $14.99 from Office Depot and for $11 from Wal-Mart. The same product is available online for $19.99 on HP's website.

HP Touchstone charging dock

An item that seems to be rare is HP's Touchstone charging dock, which is out of stock on HP's website. Best Buy is one of the few online retailers selling the dock, priced at $39.99, while Office Depot is offering the same price in-store.

The dock seems to be in big demand in some forums where posters are waiting for discounts, but some retailers with stock are not budging on price. The dock is selling for $79.99 on JR.com, while third-party retailer Triplenet is selling it on Amazon.com for $55.99.

TouchPad wireless keyboard

Best Buy is selling the TouchPad wireless keyboard for $34.99. HP is offering the wireless keyboard for $39.99. Wal-Mart is offering the keyboard for $29.99 in-store.

Screen protectors

One of the best screen protectors for the TouchPad could be Zagg's InvisibleShield, which is available on Best Buy's website for $24.99. But third-party vendors are selling some amazingly cheap screen protectors through Amazon, including the HHI HP TouchPad Crystal Clear Screen Protector, which has received mixed reviews but sells for only $5. A more robust option is the ArmorSuit MilitaryShield, which is available for $13.99, plus $5 for shipping.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

A smarter way to print for busy small business owners, combining speedy printing with scanning and copying, making it easier to produce high quality documents and images at a touch of a button.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.

Windows 10 for Business / Dell XPS 13

I’d happily recommend this touchscreen laptop and Windows 10 as a great way to get serious work done at a desk or on the road.

Windows 10 / HP Spectre x360

Ultimately, I think the Windows 10 environment is excellent for me as it caters for so many different uses. The inclusion of the Xbox app is also great for when you need some downtime too!

Windows 10 / Lenovo Yoga 910

For me, the Xbox Play Anywhere is a great new feature as it allows you to play your current Xbox games with higher resolutions and better graphics without forking out extra cash for another copy. Although available titles are still scarce, but I’m sure it will grow in time.
