Western Digital today announced that its popular WD TV Live and WD TV Live Hub media players now support the music streaming service, Spotify.
The announcement comes only hours after the Spotify music streaming service launched in Australia today. Craig Davis, APAC sales and marketing director for WD said in a press release that "Spotify has proven to be a very popular service in many areas of the world" and that the new service, via the WD players, would be easy to enjoy through home entertainment systems.
Only the Premium service will be playable through the media players, and it costs $11.99 per month. This subscription allows for ad-free music, higher quality sound, and it also gives you the ability to listen to Spotify on your mobile devices. You can read all about the benefits of the paid service on Spotify's comparison page.
