Samsung Galaxy S3 wireless charger coming in September

Galaxy S3 wireless charging coming but not from Samsung

Samsung launched its Galaxy S3 smartphone with the promise of wireless charging but no hardware has turned up.

This is about to change when next month arrives but not from Samsung. Third-party firm Zens has announced its wireless charging solution for the Galaxy S3 which will arrive in September, according to PocketNow.

Zens said: "The power receiver solution is neatly integrated in the Zens battery cover for the Samsung Galaxy S3. Simply replace the standard battery cover of the Samsung Galaxy S3 with the Zens battery cover and the phone will work seamlessly with the Zens Wireless Charging pad,"

This does mean swapping your existing rear cover and swapping it with one sporting a Zens logo instead of Samsung. Thankfully Zens has created two covers to match the pebble blue and marble white colours of the S3 - not so great if you've got the Samsung Galaxy S3 Olympic edition though.

The firm also makes a wireless charging products for the Apple iPhone 4/4S.

Until Samsung gets round to launching its own wireless charger, and S Pebble mp3 dongle which also hasn't turned up, the Zens wireless charging pad and battery cover will do the trick. There's no price or exact date yet so stay tuned.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.

Ultimately, I think the Windows 10 environment is excellent for me as it caters for so many different uses. The inclusion of the Xbox app is also great for when you need some downtime too!

For me, the Xbox Play Anywhere is a great new feature as it allows you to play your current Xbox games with higher resolutions and better graphics without forking out extra cash for another copy. Although available titles are still scarce, but I’m sure it will grow in time.
