Is this the new 8-pin connector for the iPhone 5

If Apple switches to a eight-pin connector it may render old and existing accessories unusable

An image that may or may not be the new eight-pin USB connector for the new iPhone has appeared on the web.

The current dock connector in Apple's iOS devices has a 30-pin design.
