Namco Bandai Partners (NBP) and IGN hosted its Tekken Tag Tournament 2 official launch party at Sydney's IMAX theatre on Tuesday, September 11.

ARN can confirm that the event officially set the new Guinness World Record for ‘Largest screen used in a videogame tournament’.

The tournament, which welcomed hundreds of Tekken fans and gamers alike, featured 128 official competitors.

Fights commenced in the IMAX lobby, with finalists moving on to the enormous screen to battle it out.

The grand final was a battle between Han-Ju Kim and Mario Theodorus, with Theodorus taking out the tournament, and winning a trip to Paris, France, to compete in the European championships.
