Samsung's highly anticipated Galaxy S4 smartphone will be announced on 14 March, according to the latest reports.
The new launch date comes via Eldar Murtazin, editor in chief of Mobile Review who tweeted about the big announcement. The 14 March launch date is the third suggested after 15 March and 22 March. See also: Samsung Galaxy S4 release date, specs and rumours
"Save the date for a big announcement - March 14 :) And keep silence ;) HTC will miss HTC One sales again :( Like it was in 2012." said Murtazin.
Although there was no mention of Samsung or the next Galaxy smartphone, Murtazin hints at it since Samsung was very successful in the smartphone market and would have been the main culprit in taking away sales. Other sources have confirmed this is the case, too.
The Verge said it has confirmed with sources familiar with the matter that "March 14th is "definitely" the day that the Korean giant plans on revealing one or more new devices, one of which is presumed to be the Galaxy S IV".
Across the board it is generally agreed that the Galaxy S4 Samsung Mobile Unpacked launch will take place in New York.
SamMobile reported that this big announcement must be the Galaxy S4 saying "SamMobile earlier reported to note down March 15, but one day earlier only makes it nicer for us."
This means that like the Galaxy S3, Samsung will avoid making the announcement at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. However, it will announce products there including the Galaxy Note 8.0.
Rumoured specifications for the yet to be unveiled Galaxy S4 include a 4.99in Full HD screen, Exynos 5 Octa 8-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13Mp camera, 2Mp front facing camera, wireless charging and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
