Sony Xperia Z
Telstra has today confirmed pricing and availability details for the Sony Xperia Z Android phone. The device will be available through Telstra stores across Australia from Tuesday 26 March.
The Xperia Z will be available on four Telstra Every Day Connect plans, including the hero offer of $3 per month handset repayments on the $60 plan over 24 months. This plan includes $600 worth of calls and MMS messages, unlimited SMS messages and 1GB of data per month.
Handset repayments for the Xperia Z aren't required on Telstra's $80 and $100 Every Day Connect plans, or the $130 Unlimited plan. Telstra will also sell the Xperia Z outright for $624.
Telstra confirmed that the first 1000 customers who pre-order the Sony Xperia Z online before Tuesday 26 March will receive a free Sony wireless NFC speaker valued at $129.
The telco also revealed that the Xperia X has received a Blue Tick coverage rating for superior coverage in regional and rural areas of Australia.
Telstra will sell black and white variants of the Xperia Z in selected bricks and mortar retail stores and online but the purple model will only be available through the online store.
The telco has published a video overview of the Xperia Z, which can be viewed below:
