The Galaxy S4 will be available to pre-order from today through Samsung's Experience Stores in Sydney and Melbourne, while a third pop-up store called the "Galaxy Studio" has been set up at Sydney's Opera House.

The Galaxy S4 will officially be available to purchase outright at these stores from Saturday 27 April for $899. Additionally, it will be available through Telstra, Optus, Vodafone and Virgin Mobile on various contract plans from Monday 29 April, though some stores may have limited stock on Saturday.

The Australian model of the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) is powered by a Qualcomm manufactured Snapdragon 600 processor, is 4G capable and comes with 16GB of internal memory. Samsung will not sell the 32GB or 64GB models of the Galaxy S4 in Australia.

Globally, the majority of 4G Galaxy S4 models come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon while 3G versions are generally equipped with the Samsung Exynos chip.

Samsung Australia's vice president of communications, Tyler McGee, also confirmed a number of local apps for the Galaxy S4. WatchOn is a free-to-air EPG launching at the end of May, while an Australian video-on-demand service that will include local catch up TV services and movies will launch sometime in June.

McGee also confirmed that the Foxtel Go app will initially be available to Samsung Android devices in Australia, including the Galaxy S4, sometime in June.

LIFEBOOK UH574

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
