Call of Duty: Black Ops II Uprising DLC coming to PS3 and PC on May 17

Second DLC pack for Black Ops II coming to other platforms following exclusivity on Xbox 360

Following the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops II Uprising DLC on Xbox 360 on April 17, Activision will bring the map pack for PlayStation 3 and PC on May 17.

The Uprising DLC consists of four new multiplayer maps and the “Mob of the Dead” Zombies experience.

The latter is notable for featuring Hollywood actors Ray Liotta, Chazz Palminteri, Joe Pantoliano, and Michael Madsen as four mobster inmates trying to escape a zombie infested Alcatraz.

Treyarch studio head, Mark Lamia, said the developer team has pushed the “boundaries of the [Call of Duty] Zombies fiction into new territory” with Mob of the Dead with the help of top Hollywood talent.

“Uprising is equal parts creativity and passion, all rolled into four amazing multiplayer maps, and entirely new and ambitious Mob of the Dead Zombies experience,” he said.

The Mob of the Dead Zombies experience puts players in the shoes of four prohibition-era mobsters, Billy Handsome (Liotta), Al “The Weasel” Arlington (Pantoliano), Salvatore “Sal” DeLuca (Palminteri), and Michael “Finn” O’Leary (Madsen).

They are serving time in Alcatraz Prison, where a multitude of zombified prisoners and guards are trapped on the island with them.

The four new multiplayer maps are based around various global settings, with “Magma” consisting of a modern Japanese village with volcanic eruptions and “Encore” set at a deserted London music festival.

The third map “Vertigo” is a futuristic high-rise mega-structure located in India and “Studio” is a contemporary re-imagining a fan-favourite multiplayer map from the original Black Ops, titled “Firing Range,” this time set on Hollywood movie back lot.

“We’ve packed a ton of gameplay into the multiplayer maps, including game-changing environmental challenges and opportunities,” Lamia said.

Uprising is currently available exclusively on Xbox LIVE for $20 or 1200 Microsoft Points, while the PS3 and PC versions will retail for $20.95 when released on May 17.

For players who have the Call of Duty: Black Ops II DLC Season Pass, which consists of all four DLC map packs planned for the year, Uprising is included in the collection.

LIFEBOOK UH574

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

STYLISTIC Q702

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
