Battlefield 4 coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Latest instalment in the Battlefield series coming to next generation of consoles

EA has set 31 October as the local release date for Battlefield 4. Not only will it be available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on that date, it will also be ready for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

While local release dates for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are still up in the air, EA has confirmed that the next generation editions of Battlefield 4 will be available on the same date as the current generation versions.

EA’s announcement indicates that the publisher is confident that the next generation of consoles will be available in Australia on or before 31 October.

Battlefield 4 is powered by the Frostbite 3 engine from developer DICE, with the next generation addition expected to bring an added level of visual flair, likely to been seen in improved character animations and dynamic environments.

The pre-order incentive for Battlefield 4 at EB Games will be free access to the Battlefield 4 China Rising DLC.

Pre-ordering the Battlefield 4 Digital Deluxe exclusively on EA’s Origin service will include bonus in-game digital items, the Battlefield 4 China Rising DLC and access to the game’s multiplayer beta.

EA will be showcasing Battlefield 4’s multiplayer with a live demo at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles.

XBOX ONE loses because I'm a gamer and don't watch TV. PS4 loses because the controllers are too small and uncomfortable so no matter how pretty it looks I wont be able to enjoy playing anything. And PC loses because there is nothing worse than gaming with a keyboard and mouse. Might go outside and play...

B STATS_ Glad your going to be going outside. lol
I do agree PC sucks for the same reason. X1 'loses' (as u so imaginatively put it) because they have terrible customer service...Their live team are complete a holes as proved in some youtube videos.

Thats the only reason for me there,
I am going to be heading on back to the sony watershed for a PS4, its going to be a new change for me. I have a ps3 and an Xbox.
But only watch bluray on my ps3. And play games on xbox. Also sucks I have to pay to use my own shit! I mean Fuck, come on microsoft! Ur already rich!
But I will be sticking to ps4 because they didnt dick around with the release and stuck to their word on a few things. They have always been honest and open to their customers, Even after a hack attack!
But mainly, They exceeded my expectations in a good and exiting way right from the get go with their PS4 demo.. The ability to share games instantly will certainly be something to look forward to!
They also shut the PC community up with the specs of their new system. (Almost, I still here them bickering now and then) But its no longer just PC vs Old systems like PS3, Or Xbox! We all know PC computer tech moves forward rapidly. Then consoles follow. Only consoles are in more demand, And hence take longer to deliver. So theres always going to be a lag in hardware upgrades making it hard to compare in the first place!
But the next gen is a beasty machine with similar specs as my new iMac, And loads better than most top-end PC gaming machines! That should keep the pc fanboys quiet for a while.
As far as control, Like any console, The controller is going to be easier to use after a while. So I wouldnt through my toys in the pram and spit the dummy just yet...
Thats just a small rock in the pond on the grand scale of things. As always, More generic, Official, and/or Upgradable controllers will follow. So, If your a true gamer, Choose your poison.
Either way, You know your going to jump on the bandwagon eventually, U may as well be honest with yourself & just decide now. Or wait post-release. :-)

BSTATS: you know you can plug a 360 controller into a PC, right?

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
