Ezijobz’s $399 Business Manager is designed for small and medium-sized businesses averse to accounting lingo but still requiring a tool to manage all facets of a business enterprise. Business Manager combines in a single easy-to-use program the features and functions of Ezijobz’s two existing programs — JobManager and ServiceManager (sold separately at $199 and $329, respectively).
Key functions of a small business — including quotes, job costs, profitability, GST, cashbook and bank reconciliation — are all covered by BusinessManager. A single job identification number follows the process from quote to invoice and payment. See here for a screenshot example.
A simple cashbook lets users record and track profit and loss without imposing strict accounting practices, says the company.
The Firebird database server 1.0, included in the package, runs in the background, offering a searchable index of records including customer and supplier information, job sheets, inventory, expenses and tax.
Microsoft Office and e-mail integration allows users of BusinessManager to send invoices as e-mail attachments directly from customer and supplier records. Records can be output as text, HTML and Excel files. Additionally, filters can be applied to customer and supplier records, enabling users to create e-mail lists for mass mail-outs such as promotional offers.
