St George Bank's Web site suffers outage

St George Bank's Web site suffered a "brief "outage this morning, leaving thousands of customers unable to connect to the bank's homepage or its Internet bank.

A spokesperson from St George said the bank is investigating the cause of the "very minor outage" which occurred for 20 minutes from 9:30 this morning.

"It was what we called a degradation of service, where some customers might have been able to get on, while some customers might have had some difficulty in the brief timeframe. It would not have affected all customers," the spokesperson said.

While admitting the cause of the outage is unknown, the spokesperson said the bank's server was rebooted once alerted to the problem.

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
