Via Launches Reseller Program for Cyrix Processors

Resellers joining the Via Cyrix Direct Connect program will get access to the latest product information, dedicated technical support, access to marketing materials and other benefits, the Taipei-based PC chip set and processor vendor said in a statement.
Via is currently ramping up sales of the 533MHz Cyrix III chip, which the company is targeting at entry-level desktop PCs and the so-called Information PC segment of computers.
Later this year, Via is also scheduled to begin volume shipments of a mobile version of the chip aimed at notebook PCs.
