V8 Supercars 3

Can you feel it? That low rumbling sound that's vibrating through your lounge room and echoing into your very bones? That's V8 grunt, baby, and its glorious voice has never shouted louder, harder or more realistically than it does in the latest insta...

PC Game -- Torino 2006

Typically, Australia doesn't fair well at the Winter Olympics - hardly surprising given that we barely get enough snow to fill Bert Newton's toupee - and 2K Sports' Torino 2006 is unlikely to win any medals, either.

PC Game -- Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones

Picking up where the somewhat chaotic Warrior Within left off, The Two Thrones sees the prince return victoriously with his love, Kaileena, from the Island of Time to his home in Babylon, only to find his city gripped by war. In the initial confusion...

PC Game -- Star Wars Battlefront II

Star Wars Battlefront II is everything a Star Wars fan could want. Rise of the Empire is your core story mode and from the outset, there is an obvious emphasis on mission cohesion. You are a member of the 501st Clone Battalion (voiced by Temuera Morr...

PC Game -- Ricky Ponting's International Cricket

Finally, after slogging through sub-par offerings for years, Codemasters have produced a cricket title for cricket fans that does the sport justice. All the expected game options are here - Exhibition, Tournament and The Nets - as well as Create You...

PC Game -- NRL Rugby League 2

It's been two years since the original NRL Rugby League stormed onto the gaming scene and improvements are evident throughout the game. Adding to Single Game and Competition modes is a great multiuser competition in which up to 15 players can choose ...

Lego Star Wars

It's a great concept, taking the brutally unfunny Star Wars universe and turning the entire thing into innately hilarious Lego figurines.

Rugby 2005

Building on the popular but shaky foundations of Rugby 2002 and Rugby 2004, the latest instalment is a quality sports simulation that can happily hold it's own against heavyweights FIFA, Madden and NBA Live. It's pure fun, and while the voyage to the...

Armies of Exigo

The Real-Time Strategy (RTS) as we know it is dead. Well that's what the makers of Battle for Middle-Earth and Dawn of War will have you believe as they attempt to "re-imagine" the genre by spicing it up with Hollywood-style theatrics and realistic p...

Juiced

Gaming has gone pop. Once nothing more than the logical evolutionary step for gangs of bespectacled Dungeons and Dragons "uber-nerds", it's now mainstream in a big way. Proof? The Urban Race Simulator.

XBOX Games: Full Spectrum Warrior

Designed in collaboration with the US military, the result is a sim halfway between a Gulf War RTS and a triggerless version of Counter-Strike. As such, there is no other game out there like it, but does that mean it's good? On most fronts, the answe...

PC Games: Euro 2004

There's not much to like about Euro 2004, a re-imagining of the recently released FIFA 2004. For those not familiar with soccer, it focuses on the Euro event held every four years - a kind of mini World Cup in which the nations of Europe compete to s...

XBOX Games: Ninja Gaiden

During the Age of Ancient Myth a race of beings erased from memory defeated the Evil Deities and took under their watchful eye three important artefacts: Dark Dragon Blade, Dragon Sword and Dragon Eye. That duty has been handed down through the gener...

PS2 Games: Downhill Domination

Interesting title, isn’t it? You’re not really sure if you’re getting an extreme sports game or some perverted sexual simulation. Well, sorry to disappoint you, but this is most certainly an extreme sports title. In fact, it’s mountain biking, and it...

STYLISTIC Q572

For work use, Microsoft Word and Excel programs pre-installed on the device are adequate for preparing short documents.

LIFEBOOK UH574

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

STYLISTIC Q702

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
