Fight Night Champion

Drama is an indelible aspect of popular sports, and boxing is no exception. Whether a fight serves a metaphor for our times and the world around us -- such as when Joe Louis toppled Max Schmeling amidst the chaotic lead-up to World War II -- or the c...

Epic Mickey

On the drawing board, Epic Mickey is a surefire smash: A brilliant turn for perhaps the world's most recognisable original cartoon character, exploring grim material and feelings of jealousy, sadness, and regret in a way we've rarely seen from the ty...

Super Scribblenauts

While most folks would likely agree that Scribblenauts' innovative approach of using words to spawn puzzling-solving items was nothing short of fantastic, the execution of last year's Nintendo DS hit sharply divided players. Some critics, like GamePr...

Dead Rising 2

The original Dead Rising may have borrowed its core concept from horror classic Dawn of the Dead, but the level of absurdity in that game was completely unlike anything that preceded it. Sure, it can be played on the straight and narrow, with a varie...

Mafia 2

Mafia II hits all the bullet points you'd expect from a modern action escapade. It's set in a fantastic city called Empire Bay, a lively metropolis influenced by New York City and San Francisco; it features some of the best cinematography I've seen i...

Crackdown 2

For many, the only expectation that accompanied the original Crackdown was for it to be a half-decent shepherd for the Halo 3 multiplayer beta. Luckily, it ended up being an entertaining open-world game, truly conveying the sense of being a super-pow...

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 may be the first game to blend the escapades of the ever-popular youth wizard with the age-old plastic blocks, but it's the seventh such title to follow the exacting mould set by LEGO Star Wars, later replicated by Batman...

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11

EA's golf franchise hasn't faltered in years, and I'm certainly not calling out Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 for any grand deficiencies. It's undoubtedly a great game of golf, and taking my oddly attired player through the PGA Tour season has become one o...

Lost Planet 2

For those of us who battled monstrous Akrid bosses and launched our collective grappling hooks millions of times over in the original Lost Planet, the prospect of expanding its fertile blend of mechs, snow, and alien bloodshed with a four-player co-o...

The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom

From its amusingly named protagonist to the children's storybook interludes and pie-centric premise, The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom oozes whimsy at nearly every turn, but don't mistake this brilliant Xbox Live Arcade release for a lark. Like ...

LittleBigPlanet

With nary a blazing firearm nor barely-clad babe in sight, LittleBigPlanet established itself as an absolute killer app for PlayStation 3 owners last fall, delivering a winning and whimsical synthesis of cooperative platform action and robust, easy-t...

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2

From genetics to injections to unlucky accidents, comic book history is filled with countless unique ways in which heroes and villains alike have earned unique special powers and abilities. Three years after the super-powered original, and loaded wit...

Guitar Hero: Smash Hits

Following the barrage of new Guitar Hero games over the last few years, it's not too shocking that the newest thing to hit the series is a revised collection of old content.

Wii Sports Resort

The original Wii Sports was a fantastic introduction to the concept of motion controls. Think about it: the Wii Remote was a radical departure from established video game controllers and without the butter smooth motion control experience of Wii Spor...

Fight Night Round 4

It's hard to forget the first time I landed an orbital-crushing haymaker in Fight Night Round 3: my vicious blow sent ripples across the opponent's cheeks and bodily fluids flying towards the canvas. No other boxing sim since has come close to recrea...

STYLISTIC Q572

For work use, Microsoft Word and Excel programs pre-installed on the device are adequate for preparing short documents.

LIFEBOOK UH574

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

STYLISTIC Q702

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
