Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 screenshots 04/11/2009 14:39:00

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 by Activision for PC is a combat FPS and the sixth game in the Call of Duty series. Comparable to the "Mile High Club" epilogue mission in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a "Special Ops" mode that consists of isolated missions in a variety of settings unrelated to the campaign story. The main campaign is single-player only, but the "Special Ops" mode supports two-player cooperative play. Missions in this mode were created from portions of levels in the campaign, and feature such scenarios as a snowmobile race, a battle alongside U.S. Navy SEALs, and fending off a wave of 50 enemies at once. The game will be released worldwide on 10 November.

Gameplay updates include abilities to swim and the use of gunpowder. The game is hitting Australia on 19 November.

    A Witch's Tale 29/10/2009 15:10:00

I was quite looking forward to A Witch's Tale ever since playing it at E3. The charming manga-styled visuals, fairytale-inspired characters and settings, and stylus-driven controls gave an impression of an RPG with particular appeal to young girls, but that wider audiences could also enjoy.

Halo and Avatar headline Comic-Con '09 game news 28/07/2009 09:35:00

Although it wasn't the most exciting Comic-Con in terms of game news, there was still plenty to talk about by the end of its run. Most notably, two Halo related stories emerged that were a little disheartening, as Halo Reach was revealed to be Bungie's last Halo game and Peter Jackson announced that Halo Chronicles was "no longer happening."
