    James Cameron's Avatar: The Game 07/12/2009 14:40:00

When Ubisoft and James Cameron announced the Avatar video game, they made it clear that they wanted to create a title that would not only raise the bar for movie tie-ins, but usher in a new era for the medium itself. That's a rather lofty aspiration, especially given the unfortunate track record already solidified by countless licensing disasters, but with these two powerhouses of entertainment joining forces for a brand new interactive entertainment experience, nothing could go wrong... right?

'Halo' movie finds a producer in Steven Spielberg? 11/08/2009 05:02:00

Long ago, a filmmaker named Peter Jackson attempted to make Halo into a feature film. Unfortunately, funding fell through, and Jackson instead went on to produce the upcoming film District 9, which was directed by Neil Blomkamp (who was set to direct the Halo feature.) Now, after some considerable hope was lost in seeing Master Chief storm our local movie theatres, a shining beacon of hope may be found in none other than the God among men of filmmaking, Steven Spielberg.

Who needs real news when we've got rumors! And what better rumors are there in the gaming universe than some new PS3 Slim rumors? This week, Kotaku uncovered a document from a 7-Eleven in Japan, which reportedly was issued from Sony, asking stores to stop taking pre-orders for 80GB PS3s starting August 9. Sounds a little fishy, but then again, there have been so many bizarre little incidents lately revolving around the PS3 Slim, it's getting hard not to believe that Sony is definitely up to something.

Looks like Sony may be just as frustrated with their current situation as gamers are, as both sides of the battle are steadfast in their beliefs over the PS3's current price tag. Rumour: PSP2 to be as powerful as Xbox, use quad core GPU 08/07/2009 04:20:00

Another day, another rumor for Sony and crew. Looks like this time, the rumors take a surprise turn in revealing tech specs for an upcoming PSP2 (No, not the PSPgo, but a true successor to the PSP). While this seems a bit shady as Sony just spent a great deal of time and effort promoting the PSPgo, it doesn't seem wholly implausible that Sony would already be investing in newer technology for their hand held console.
