A mechanical contractor founded in 1901, Limbach Facility Services was using Lotus Notes/Domino for its 500 employees, and despite being a recent version, the Notes system was hampering the company’s innovation. When a new hire suggested moving to Google Apps, management initially scoffed. But after evaluating Google Apps against Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange, Limbach was convinced of its value. Google Apps has quickly become a platform for innovation: one employee used Google video chat to document how to safely helicopter an HVAC system onto a roof and Limbach added a cloud-based workflow tool from the Google Apps Marketplace.

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
