Security

Poaching can only occur in a few of situations

1, You leave the default password of your router to admin.

2, You dont lock down your wireless network the with maximum security.

3, You a wireless N router ( broad ranging singal) can cross over into your neighbours back yard.

Anyone that can get close to you house with a laptop and a car can sniff your network and get the SSID keys if you have the maximum security it might take them 3-4 hours. WEP can be done now in 3 mins.

What can you do.

1, change your router password frequently .
2, Change your SSID often
3, use a 802.11g 54 mb much smaller foot print at your place.
4, Use WPA2 security on your network be sure that you have a strong password with upper case , numnbers, symbols, lowercase. length. 18+ characters.
