    Kingrex T20 25/07/2008 09:50:00

Kingrex's basic Class T amp is enigmatic. It's tiny, but it has enough power to easily drive efficient speakers to uncomfortable volume levels. It's a solid-state amplifier, but it has the warm sound of a vintage valve amplifier. It's not a one-size-fits-all approach to audio amplification: it's a great little niche product.

    Toshiba Satellite P210/J00 08/04/2008 15:49:35

Designed for the entertainment and high-end performance market, several Toshiba Satellite notebooks included HD-DVD drives prior to Blu-ray's victory in the recent high-definition format war. However, since the company's decision to cease the production and development of HD-DVD drives, the Satellite range has reverted to DVD optical drives. Despite this loss of an HD drive, the qualities of the Satellite range should not be discounted out of hand.

    Toshiba Satellite P200 (PSPB6A-0CS04M) 25/03/2008 11:08:41

Just weeks ago the Toshiba Satellite P200 (PSPB6A-0CS04M) would have been joining the ranks of high-end entertainment machines we've reviewed. Unfortunately, the recent withdrawal of Toshiba's HD-DVD technology from the high-definition format war has left a stain on the value of this otherwise excellent notebook.

    Harman Kardon AVR 245 13/02/2008 11:42:39

Harman Kardon's AVR 245 is one of their entry level amplifier/receivers. It's important to note, however, that for a brand like Harman Kardon, 'entry level' is still built to a very high standard. The amp is capable of 50W per channel at 8 ohms, driven through up to 8 channels. A huge range of connections spans the back panel, including HDMI, and of course the audio quality is excellent. The 245 boasts several highly useful features as well as plentiful customisation options.

    Toshiba A200 (PSAF6A-07G01N) 06/02/2008 10:35:30

Toshiba has been churning out Satellite A200 notebooks at an alarmingly prodigious rate, with no fewer than 12 models currently on the market. This latest cab off the rank attempts to outdo the majority of its siblings with a host of upgraded specs. Otherwise, it sports the same basic design and feature set as the last iteration we looked at (Satellite A200 PSAFCA-01K009J). All up, we found the A200 (PSAF6A-07G01N) to be an impressive performer, offering solid results across the majority of our benchmarks. It is particularly suited to multimedia enthusiasts; especially those with a penchant for rockin' audio.

    Harman Kardon HKTS 11 05/02/2008 12:25:35

Harman Kardon's HKTS 11 is a 5.1 speaker set. Although at first glance, the price seems quite high, especially considering the need for a separate receiver, the system quite comfortably justifies it with its outstanding audio performance. A high powered sub and excellent levels of definition and clarity throughout the entire audio range make the HKTS one of the best 5.1 packages we've heard, while only a few minor faults hold them back from perfection.
