Buying on looks alone can land you in deep water in the IT market, and in no area is this more true than the flat panel sector. At first glance the Neovo looks every bit the office essential — its polished glass screen and fold-down stand both suggest that this is a display to be reckoned with. But in operation the Neovo reveals its true colours and, unfortunately, they aren’t pretty.

The X215 is quite simply the sexiest flat-panel we’ve reviewed. There’s a real lack of ostentation in the sleek minimalist design, and the blue-tinted glass front serves a purpose beyond aesthetics, incorporating AG Neovo’s own display-enhancing technology.

Two LCD (liquid crystal display) makers are showing at TechXNY products based on new technologies, new mixes of features, and lower prices. But buyers will want to shop carefully, as some of these products hit lower price points by trimming features.
