Bowers & Wilkins' Panorama soundbar is one of the best single-speaker home theatre systems on the market. Apart from its unnecessarily complicated setup, it's a great all-rounder with unparalleled sound quality in both our movie and music tests.

The Olive Opus No.4 media server is a brilliant albeit expensive product. Its construction and interface are simple and elegant. While you can get a device that does much the same job for significantly less money, you're paying for pedigree here.

The Compro T1000W is a media streamer that can handle any format you're likely to throw at it. It doesn't have an internal hard drive as standard (although you can add one) but with three USB ports and in-built wireless networking means it can play all your saved content.

The Panasonic DMR-BW750 is an excellent choice for people who want to record HD content off TV. With its 250GB hard drive, dual HD digital tuner and writable Blu-ray optical drive, there are plenty of options for media hoarders. Highly recommended.

OXX's Classic DAB+ digital radio is one of the most well-rounded digital radios we've tested. It can receive digital and FM radio frequencies, play podcasts, stream music from your PC and work with an external audio input. The addition of great design and a good screen means we wholeheartedly recommend it.

As a simple introduction to the glittery world of DAB+ digital radio, the Pure One Classic is a good product. Decent monaural sound, an easy interface and a great design combine to create a digital radio that is equally usable at home or while on the move.

As a digital television recording and archiving device the Panasonic DMR-BW850 works brilliantly. Blu-ray disc playback image quality is free of any problems and the integrated BD-Live and Internet access features add an extra layer of interactivity. The downside to this is a high price for the recorder and Blu-ray discs, along with a complicated interface and some problems using discs on other Blu-ray disc players.

The LG HB954WA is a feature-packed home theatre bundle with decent sound quality. We like the inclusion of YouTube access and the integrated iPod dock, and the fact that this system is one of the cheaper Blu-ray compatible units serves to recommend it further.

The Grundig GDR700DAB's retro design and decent integrated speakers make for a lovely DAB+ digital radio that evokes memories of old transistor radios. It may not be perfectly built and the internal components leave a little to be desired, but we like the mix of style, portability and sound quality that the Grundig GDR700DAB offers.

The Sumo Omni marks a major step forward in the (de)evolution of the couch potato. If you care even slightly about your derrière, it’s worth every penny.
