Pdf file printing on my hp psc 1215 all in one printer

2 years ago I bought the above printer from pc world and ran it with my computer which used windows XP with no problems.
Two weeks ago I bought a Toshiba laptop EQUIUM p300-16t with Vista home premium, and I am unable to print downloaded pdf files from my printer.
It prints some of the coloured sections of the forms I want from UK.GOV (car Tax Forms) and also some parts of the vertical and horizontal lines but no script. I have looked on HP website and they say scanner buttons and other functions do not work with Vista - am I stuck with having to buy yet another printer, scanner, copier? If so I think its another corporate rip off. Why do stores sell obsolete hardware when they know another operating system was on the way. Does anyone know of a fix, is there a new driver that I can load that will give me back all the printer functions I had with XP ???

Pdf printing on HP PSC 1215

I had a similar problem. If you look under the printer properties you will find an "Advanced options" setting with a checkbox titled "Print as image" or something similar. I checked this box and then the PDFs printed OK.
