Total Annihilation error
Total Annihilation error
When I try to open the game Total Annihilation it goes to the ordinary play/exit screen but the play button is not available. Also when I tried to install a downloaded copy on xp to replace it, every time I try to setup I get a setup error 'failed to initialize'.
Could this be related to the program I downloaded to open iso files?

Not much to go on. Has it ever worked on that machine? Does the machine qualify to play the game hardware wise? If not, you are wasting your time. Some games will not work if you have drive emulation software installed, so if the iso prog has emulation facilities it could be the culprit. Easy to check.

You need the 'original' installation disk '1' to start the game.
See 'Planet Annihilation' for patches to start game without disk.

I started playing on win 2000 and it works as much as the computer can handle it but there are errors with the conflict crusher application I downloaded so I have too many units on the system to play custom games.
Is there a way to remove units without uninstalling the game and starting again?

Again, See 'Planet Annihilation' for patches, they include
patches for unit number increases, starting game without CD in the CD/DVD drive and many other mods. to your hearts content.
