I am setting up a wireless home network.

When I set my laptop in a workgroup (rmhk2) I am unable to access the other computer on the network.

When I click "view workgroup computers" I get the following error message:

" rmhk2 is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource.
Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.
The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available."

Everything else is working fine with the network. I have internet access through the wireless router. The other computer has internet access, recognises itself in the workgroup and even recognised this computer in the network although obviously can't access it.

Any idea what this problem could be?

Re: raymoriarty

It could be any of a number of things preventing access. The first thing I would check is the permissions. On the computer you are trying to access you need to grant permission for the the computer or user who is trying to access it, right click folder you want to share and check on the settings for sharing and permissions. There can also be problems if operating systems are not the same eg xp home vs xp pro vs vista.
