why not the iMate

been with you a long time...first forum topic...

Why not the imate Ultimate 9502 in your comparisons of touch phones in competition with iPhone.

I have had mine since january of this year and am well pleased.

It took no time at all to read my atrocius hand writing with very little training...

sure it is a 'brick...this only makes it harder to lose...it sits in the suppied pouch on my waist...is next g/3g compatible for when I visit regional areas...

the only complaint I have with it for that option...regional Australia coverage...I am forced to use Telstra....

kind regards...and I must like your mag...as I note that I have bee with you for 9 years and 12 weeks....and why not...thanks for all the info over the years.

Hi Elaine, Our touch screen

Hi Elaine,

Our touch screen comparison feature was mainly aimed at handsets with excellent multimedia capabilities, and those aimed at regular consumers more so than business users.

While the Ultimate 9502 is certainly a very capable device, I didn't think it fit in with what we were trying to compare -- it is certainly a much more business/corportate-orientated handset than the iPhone.

And thanks for the kind words, hope you continue to enjoy the site :-)
