Sure. Try the Kogan Full HD 1080p Video Camera (here's a link to the review). It's a high-definition video camera that records to SD cards, and it only costs $399. Even if you don't own a HDTV, it's a good future investment for when you eventually do get one. (The only downsides are a low optical zoom and limited manual controls, but if you care about image quality, it's pretty hard to beat.)
