Burning CD Help

Hello everyone, I had a few questions about burning cd's and dvd's.

I live in Canada and I wanted to burn a few cd's for a family member in Russia. Is there a specific type of format that a cd needs to be in to play in Russia? or are all burned audio cd's playable worldwide?

I also wanted to burn a few dvd's that I wish to send there as well, what format do the dvd's have to be in to play in Russia?

I need an answer ASAP.

Thanks,

You can just burn audio CDs

You can just burn audio CDs normally and they will play in Russia as long as the person has a CD/DVD player than can recognise burnt CDs. The video format for DVDs should be PAL/SECAM.

ilya, check to see what

ilya,

check to see what format of video file the dvd/vcd player can decode and play.

It will typically be one of the Divx or MPEG (if not both or more).

Use a burning program such as Nero to convert and burn the video files you are wanting to keep, and you should be away!

:)

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Micky.
