I am running Windows XP Pro SP3 using an AMD Dual Core CPU, 2GB Ram,and a nVidia 9500 video card. I want to download and install Direct X 10 in order to enhance the look of my scenery in Flight Simulator FX but although I have downloaded a couple of versions of Direct X I cannot open them to install them. Can anyone point me in the right direction please........Dave

unfortunately, directx 10 is only for windows vista.
there have been some attempts to port dx10 to windows xp, but im not quite sure how far theyve progressed or if theyre even released.
most games have some registry hacks or options to toggle the dx10 options on or off, so the limitation of visual effects are purely software based.
if you're in luck, there might be some options like that for Flight Simulator FX.
