Searching for a Game Demo

Hey there, well umm im searching for a game demo that i think was on a PC world CD in 2004 not sure which month

as i remember basically

You start as a little space probe and you can fly around the planet and destroy enemy robots, and collect bits from them and join them on to yourself and make yourself bigger and stonger

Let me know if you know this game please.

Some more information would really assist! Do you recall the name of the game?
I searched on google -- using your description above -- and found these ones. They may jog your memory? http://www.softlist.net/search/3d-mars/ and http://www.gamesforwork.com/games/search.php?action=search&search=space

Otherwise the December 2004 issue had a full version of the game CodeRED: The Martian Chronicles.
