Canon MV940

Hi
I have a Canon MV940 and I am trying to download the recorded video onto my computer. Can you please tell me what I need to be able to do this?

Transferring video to your computer

Hi there. The Canon MV940 is a standard-def Mini DV camcorder, which means it's very easy to edit with. All you need is an editing program (your PC should have come with Windows Movie Maker free) and a Firewire cable.

You will need to buy the Firewire cable separately, as this is not included in the Canon MV940 sales package. Does your computer have a FireWire port? This will typically be at the back of the computer and looks a bit like a USB port, but it's thicker. Clock below for an image of what it looks like:

If your computer has a Firewire port, simply connect the camcorder to the computer, play the videos, and record them in Move Maker while they are playing.
