iPhone 3G S - Yay or Nay?

Now that Apple has unveiled the iPhone 3G S, what do you think?

If you are a current iPhone 3G owner, will you be upgrading? If not, why?

For those without an iPhone, are the new features of the iPhone 3G S and iPhone 3.0 software enough for you to take the plunge?

I'm a current Iphone 3g owner, and I first purchased the original iphone before that and I will definitely upgrade on june 19th to the iphone 32gig 3gs.

I have already placed my pre-order.

I have owned the 1st and 2nd

I have owned the 1st and 2nd generation iPhone. The iPhone 3Gs will be my third. The iPhone is the best cell phone on the market without question.

nay

probably the most underwhelming device of the iphone releases. if you have the iphone 3g, there's really no point in spending more money on getting a new one unless you like to be the most up to date kid on the block with money to splash. if yer contract is up, sure go for it if you like the form factor of the iphone but there are far better phones coming out on the market now if you don't think the app store is all that important.

Nokia N97 is the price is right

My experience with various phones over the years has led me to conclude that Nokia are the most reliable hansdets.

Therefore, I would like to buy a Nokia N97 outright, but I fear that Nokia and/or the Telcos will overprice the phone as they usually indulge in price gouging for high-end phones in Australia.

If that happens, then I'll seriously consider the I-phone 3GS (Next G version)
Just a bit concerned though that comments on other sites indicate the I-phone has inferior signal reception and drops out a lot on the Next G network.

The N97 is great hardware let

The N97 is great hardware let down by poor software.

Nokia must move away from Symbian if it is to compete with Apple in the smartphone space. Hard to see them doing so when they've invested a small fortune in Symbian over the past few years.

replace SYMBIAN!?

no way!!!!! Symbian is the longest running and most actively developed phone OS in the world. HUNDREDS (if not thousands) of developers work on it. It has all the intuitive features anyone could ever need. Its really like someone sat down and REALLY thought about every single screen and feature and made it as user friendly as possible. Even for small things like when your playing music on your phone and you get a phone call then once ur done with the phone call and hang up the music SLOWLY increases the volume so you don't bust an eardrum right after the phone call. INGENIOUS! Love you nokia!

More interested in next Maemo iteration

Nay for iPhone, still don't see the point of iPhone, looks good but I prefer a phone with a hardware keyboard.

Personally I am quite excited

Personally I am quite excited about the Palm Pre, if Palm can get this right it will be the closest challenger to the iPhone.
