Re: Installing games
Hi Charles. Windows XP is utterly crap for older games. It is also crap for some older applications and hardware. If you go to the Microsoft website you may be able to find a fix in their help and support. Good luck.
Ben.

Re: Installing games
The problem of running old games with WinXP or W2K even is that these OSes have issues with MS-DOS based games. With W2K, I think that you can set the OS to pretend that it is an older version of Windows (either 98 or 95) but I am unsure whether WinXP has this feature.
First, I would check the forums for the games to see whether there may be a solution there suggested or perhaps you could post a question there. Otherwise, perhaps your option is to dual-boot, that is to have a older version of Windows installed. The odd thing is that your friend can run these games but you can't.
