Hi All,

I am again seeking the help of the forum in finding some software for use at our office. This time I am seeking a program that will scan the network storage folders and highlight duplicate copies of the same file so that we assess them for deletion.

Has anybody had experience with this type of software and if so could they provide me with program names or links of good software and details of one to avoid.

I just googled "finding duplicate files free" and it came back with 1,320,000 references. Do the same and you should be able to find something at one of those sites that does what you want.

I did the same google search and hence why I sought the help of the forum. With so many choices I was hoping that somebody had utilised one or more of these programs and could provide me with their review of the software.

It can find duplicate files based on same name, size and/or CRC. It can scan millions of files, and has many file reporting features

deleting duplicate files I am also facing the same issue of duplicate files. i got the solution when i used a utility http://duplicatefilesdeleter.com/ and it worked for me.
