Why will nero see my tv card and not be able to scan and when I change to analog tv will scan and then close down?

What brand of TV card, computer, other devices, other software do you have? Do you have a windows media centre edition? Nero should have an error log somewhere, have you checked that? You could check the windows eventlog which will have logged the error, its possible microsoft may have a solution (but not likely!)

Did you recently update Nero, or the TV cards software? If you are using Nero to watch the TV then it may be better to uninstall the TV tuner card software if you can do that without uninstalling its drivers. I have a leadtek analogue and digital TV card and use the software that comes with it to set timer recording etc, works a treat, only use nero to edit the recording after (cut out the ads etc), or to watch the recorded programs.
