My brother in law brought this computer over and I turned it on, it booted but it had a windows 98 bootdisk in so I turned it off and took the boot disk out and turned it back on and I got a no signal massage that came up on the monitor. I have made sure that the monitor card was in right but it still cames up with the 'no signal' massage. Is there a problem with the video card?

Did it work before he brought it over? Did he bring his monitor or use yours? Is yours an LCD? If so, it is probably out of range. Do you see the post screen or nothing at all? Not much to go on here. Does it boot? Lights flashing, disks / fans spinning?
