D-Link DI-524 security problem (2 posts)

Hello,

I downloaded the UTorrent client to be able to download torrents. I tried to forward the ports to get the best connectivity. But it didnt work for some reason and I went to the help section and tried resetting my network connections and forgot to write the old ones down.

Now, when I try to connect to the Internet, my wireless di-524 says it has the wrong encryption settings and I tried changing them to open disabled but it still didn't work.

I have never had to secure my network before as I live in such a remote area. I am very confused. By the way the computer I'm using is an ASUS laptop, the most recent model.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks alot,

Chloe.

Re: D-Link DI-524 security problem

Find the "reset" button that sets it back to the default settings. On that model I think its a hole that you have to push something like the end of a straightened paperclip into.

Press it.

Set up the DI-524 from the beginning.
